july 4th Holiday, post office open on the 3rd?

just curious...i know we get the 3rd off at work, dunno if the post office gets a long weekend (im hoping NOT, because i have stuff to ship....

Just saw on usps.com that it looks like most Post Offices will close at 12 noon on Friday, July 3. Here's the usps "Alert."

EDIT: They are also closed on Saturday, July 4 for sure.

My local PO closes at 12 on Friday also.
