Never bought sets from them, but I'd say that set would be worth it.

Like anyone else, be ready to go a grade down more than advertised. A couple years back I purchased a 1979 Topps set advertised as nm/mt. I wasnt overly thrilled with it and even had some damaged cards. I never contacted him to replace the cards...it wasnt worth the hassle. I just ordered what I needed through Sportlots.com.
They were kind enough to scan me the Smith, Ryan, Rose for me before I purchased.
If advertised as exmt-nrmt set, probably expect an exmt set. Good, quick shipping though.

thanks for the replys. my is ex+ to exmt. so the set probaly will not do me any good considering the price that bbcex wants. if the price was a little lower it might be worth it.

I don't think the price is that high as it includes all the variations, traded cards and the checklists. I also don't think that BBCE would purposly inflate the grades and take the chance of screwing with their reputation in order to sell a $500 dollar baseball set.

Here is the description for the set:

1974 Topps Baseball Complete Set. Set is EX-MT to NM-MT! This master set contains cards #1-#660, all the Washington National League variations, all the traded cards, all the team checklists and the Alou error card.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

p.s. 1974 is my favorite, under appreciated set of the 70's. always enjoyed the design, plus the you get San diego/washington variations, Winfield and Parker RC, Griffey Sr, and the Aaron specials.

I saw that set too and thought for that price and the rep of BBCExchange it couldn't be beat. I just think 74's are about the dullest cards ever made, no offense. They used to have a cherry 63 Set that I regret not jumping on.
Kiss me once, shame on you.
    Kiss me twice.....let's party.

i am not saying that the price of the set is to extreme. i mean if it was about 350-400 i would really consider it.
