Just rec'd my most prized card from PSA - Thanks JoeO and Doran

A Doran(HeritageAddict) creation. It will never show up in the population report but is now my favorite and most cherished card.

Thanks again Joe and thanks to Doran for making the card.

    That is freaking awesome!
  • That's freakin' sweet! I hope to do that one day for my two boys, however, I think one is going to play football (95% in height and weight for his age) .
  • Think I may commission Doran to make me one from this year's team in the 1961 Topps style. He does amazing work.

Does Doran make these cards for anyone?

I would love to get a few made of my two kids, although they aren't big enough to play organized ball yet I'm sure I can get a good photo...

I'll inquire with him, "Heritage Addict" is his name?

Terrific idea and a great Photo ! As others have mentioned , how do I go about getting one of these made for my Grandson ???? He would really be thrilled to see himself pictured on a baseball card in a Psa slab ! He is 8 years old , and very interested in my card collection , as I've given him numerous cards as I upgrade my collection !
Would be a Super great way to promote Psa cards to kids to get them interested in the Hobby !

  • For those that asked, Doran made this card for me a while back when he made a custom cut auto card. All his cards come out great and I have no idea why he just doesn't make custom cards for a living. Apperantly, he could make a decent living making them. He usually claims it is just a hobby of his. If it is just a hobby, he has perfected his craft.

Man that is a sweet looking card! Props to everyone who had a hand in it. Who knows if times get tough for PSA they could offer this service to schools and little leagues all across the country. They could get some serious cash doing that.

That is way better than the plastic key chain I got when my son played image

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I think Mike (thenavarro) had 2 cards made of his kids that they signed and he got slabbed and thanks for all the compliments guys.

On a related note, we played our first game of the city All Star tournament tonight. Game was called after the 4th inning due to the 10 run rule. We won 10-0. My son only got to pitch one inning so he wouldn't go over 20 pitches and can still pitch tomorrow night. He struck out 2 and got a grounder to short for the 3rd out but allowed one single to right.

Bill, As usual Doran really made a high quality custom card and that was awesome of the PSA to slab it for you as well. You know what would be very cool, if Doran made another card for you that was a signature series card of that one so your son could sign it as 1/1. Either way, congrats Bill on the card and for having such a great looking son!!!!!!!
