Who's been on here the longest?

I know I'm not even close. I started in November 2003. I remember after my first post, I got chewed out FOR KEEPING MY CAPS LOCK BUTTON ON AND MY WHOLE POST WAS IN CAPS!

Also, when did the message boards start?

As far as when the boards started, wasn't it in '01?

I believe I got here about 5 or 6 months after the boards started. With it being so new, the topics were very educational. I learned about issues I never knew about like 1972 Topps Cloths.

I can't remember yesterday, much less two years ago! I honestly didn't know I had started that thread. I guess it shows my thought processes remain the same.

The board took a major turn for the better around March 2002, when a new crop of great members started joining.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

I think Feb 2001 is the earliest you'll find under an avatar. But some have been here longer on a Beta version.

I thought I remember this question being asked before.

I did a search and found this thread from a couple of years ago.

Some of the veterans came out of the woodwork.

There was actually a PSA Board prior to this one that was around for about 2 years. As I recall there were only a handful of us on the old PSA board that made the transition to the new one: TheGemmintMan, myself, Mitrochondria and Joe Orlando (before he was president of PSA). When PSA was bought by CU, they started this one in late Feb/early March 2001.

So all you have to do to become president of PSA is hangout on the message board?? That's great! I can't wait till I become president in another 4 years.

Was Joe employed by PSA in another capacity at the time or was he just on here as a collector? Too bad that board's gone...it would be fun to look back and see if Joe had any rants after a poor submission. ("How could those #$^#^'s give that an 8? Who trains these #$@#@s?") lol

Why does MikeSchmidt have a smiley face under his name (chose his own title) instead of Master Collector, with less than 10K posts?

Every time this thread is started again I wonder how people can be on here for so many years reading the same posts over and over... and here I am yet again still reading this stuff every day. Funny how that works.

wabbitwax was another early PM i sent a lot to also, regarding 80 topps & the crazy premiums for psa 10 graded 80 topps.
