I'm think Bob will only affect the 2011 edition and later though, I'm sure the 2010 edition has been pretty much finalized for a little while.

The BGS list only certain years, the SCD list everything.
As far as waiting, I think Bob posted a few days ago saying that you may only want to wait for the new one if you need info on new cards. The older sets have pretty much stayed the same.
I use it for reference more than actual pricing, I have some obscure stuff that I would like to know more about. And as was posted, Bob had also said that he would not be involved until the 2011 catalog.
