1982 Fleer Test

Saw this on another board. Never heard of them.
Here's what the SCD Standard Catalog says about them: "To test a proposed cardboard stock from International Paper Co., a run of 100 sheets of test cards was printed and delivered to Fleer officials. The cards on the sheet include various combinations of correct picture/name combinations, incorrect picture/name combinations and cards with no player identification. All cards have the words "TEST CARD" overprinted in black in the player identification area at the bottom center, along with the letters "o", "n" or both veticaly at the left end of the oblong. Backs are blank. At least half of the 132 card test sheets have made their way into the hobby where they are offered both as complete sheets and as hand-cut single cards or panels. A number of the photos seen on the test cards did not appear in Fleer's 1982 card set. Each of the 66 cards is double printed on the sheet."

<< <i>Those Royals card are from a sheet of 9 cards of league leaders. Actually there are 8 cards and the center was the Topps logo. I have one, just not sure where it is right now. >>
Well now, that was easy enough. I knew I could count on these boards.

In the olden days, you wanted me to adopt you and make you my sole beneficiary. If you now have a man crush, it might seem a bit incestuous (although I'm no expert).

You can save a lot of dough by buying a used book since other than each year's new issues, there hasn't been much added to the 1970s, 1980s or 1990s lately.
