I just gotta throw in with the JM again. To me the layout is superior. I like the bold design. The JM crossed hammers are beefy instead of delicate like the skeletal globe on the Eng. The font on the JM is stronger, too. And I think the repeating boxes (logo, silver, serial #) add a very subtle "solid" look to the design.
How cool would this be for a t-shirt?

Agreed. But to be fair I took the pictures in the same layout same lighting at the same time. The Eng's plastic is slightly more scuffed, but both bars are proof finish. If the JM bar has more of a cameo look to it, it's because the JM design presents better contrast devices for the proof finish both bars share.

To me it really doesn't matter as both bars come from reputable firms, if pressed I would probably pick the JM bar but in the end they're both made out of .999 Silver.
I like the JM's a little better. On the 10 oz. Engelhards I prefer the old poured bars but many of them look like they were either stored at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, dragged behind someones motor home for 2000 miles, or polished and put into a food processor for 2 minutes.

Either one. No real preference.

I wouldn't mind having either type added to my silver stash.

Cool, but VERY heavy.
I would pick the J&M also.

Yes, I polished them with Wright's silver cream.
