FSU, Bowden and Music dept

So it looks like Bowden/FSU will forfeit 10 - 14 games

Music Dept might cause Bowden NCAA all-time win record

So the question is was commie boy involoved:

The NCAA said 61 Seminole athletes cheated on an online test in a music history course from the fall of 2006 through summer 2007 or received improper help from staffers who provided them with answers to the exam and typed papers for them

  • When I was in Military and took online classes I took tests like the FSU students did. I did not have a Music Class, but the test format would more than likely be the same format. These tests are not proctored but explain on Test page/webpage that it is either a open or closed-book test and what study materials/notes they would be able to use or not use. In the case of FSU students, in accordance with NCAA, it was stated very clearly on the online/computer site that their test was a closed-book test and that these students used unauthorized materials/notes to take tests not to mention were given answers by tutor during the taking of their online tests. They Cheated!

I read the NCCA report along with FSU's response and FSU does not dispute any of the charges, just that they don't agree with the penalities imposed even though these penalities are very specific in the NCAA's bylaws and that these same penalities were imposed on other schools for far less serious infractions.

It just looks like FSU staff want to make this about Bowden's wins and their National Championship in another sport and use this excuse to get simpathy from public. Again, FSU did not appeal any of the infractions/charges (reason for an appeal). Thus, NCAA's response was that FSU did not give any real reason to consider this as an appeal.

FSU caught cheating? Wow, what a shock!

Rumor has it JS was staying after class to help certain athletes with their horn blowing...
