Strange scoring of the Reds game on Sunday

Johnny Cueto got tagged for 5 runs on Sunday, but they were all scored as unearned. Some 4 were due to errors, but the last one was odd...


In the 3rd inning, a batter hit a triple, then scored on the next batter's single. How is that not an earned run?

    two outs in inning error would have been the third out (no matter which order) triple after never should have batted single that followed never should have batted (in the inning)

    Digi ... sometimes the UNEARNED runs do not make sense. Like sky said, first two batters strike out ... next gets on by an error ... next TEN guys hit homeruns ... ALL ELEVEN RUNS ARE UNEARNED!.

    Ah. Ok. That makes sence.

    Still, though he got lit up, Cueto's now the NL ERA leader.
