Thank You Mike (thekid8)

Mike sent me a PM last week as he had a few cards he wanted to send my way to add to my ever growing miscut/oddball collection and here are the beauties he sent. image

Now the miscuts were not the only thing in this package. Mike sent a nice letter that I hope he doesn't mind my sharing here as I am stunned by the actions of this person who doesn't know me from a hole in the ground.

I am nearly speechless that someone would take the time to send off some cards TTM and have such an incredible request which these three individuals fulfilled.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart as you will never realize what an incredible gift this is to me.

Thank You

People from Maine are strange. Just as long as you keep them happy they'll stay there where they belong. image

Great stuff, quite a nice gesture by thekid8.

Guess we could be considered as Maineiacs. image

Only if you are in the Lewiston area and play Junior hockey.
They are so far up that they play in the QMJHL, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
What's worse, being from Maine, or pretending that you are from Quebec?
Jsut kidding of course. Great stuff.

Ah but we also have the Maine Air National Guard base in Bangor being home to the 101st Air Refueling Wing, affectionately known as the ' MAINEiacs'.

Wow, what a cool gift! Congrats Jeff on the nice score. And props to Mike for getting the cards signed upside down and inscribed, super cool idea. This is what collecting is all about.
    Looking for Carl Willey items.

Extremely cool and nice gesture by Mike. I prefer the term Mainer to Mainiac btw.

    Hey Jeff
Glad you like the cards --- like I stated I was thrilled that those 3 came back signed -- 3 out of 3 in less than a week. Those guys are great TTMer's but I was not sure that they would sign them in the fashion I requested. I guess after years of getting the same old requests day after day that this was a breath of fresh air and if it made them giggle - bonus!

I think your collection is great ~ as individual cards they only take up space but together they come together and tell a unique story.
I have had those cards in my collection for over 30 years and the only reason I kept them was when I was young the quest was quantity not quality. I am happy to send them to their rightful home
When I come across more I will send them on your way

You have to exchange spots with the 79 Hendrick and Carlton --- thats Steve's hand on George's card

    Mike,

I was so excited with the cards that I hadn't even noticed it until you pointed that out.
