Field Goal?

13-0. Why did the Yankees go for a Field Goal and not a Touchdown? Oh my, Santana's ERA is going to soar. 9 runs are the most he EVER gave up.

The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

No worries, they will come up with some BS injury to blame it on...

  • Wow, even Safety in this game!

Reminds me of that 22-0 drubbing the Yanks suffered vs Clev at home....was there a 2-pt conversion after that that 3rd TD??

All great questions. But equally stupefying, if not more so, is why would Baltimore choose to kick a field goal after Texas had scored four (4) touchdowns and a safety, thereby making the final score 30-3. I suppose the idea of not being shut out has some value.

Actually Santana took it like a man and said he had no excuses.

That's the kind of Santana is and I appreciated that about him. But I still expect there will be something about an injury that comes out soon. Apparently his velocity has been down for a couple weeks and I just don't see how you can go from being one of the best pitchers in baseball to giving up 17 runs in 16 innings without there being something physically wrong.

And I am VERY glad to hear that, hopefully he is healthy because he is my fantasy BB Ace!

Any pitcher can get blown up on any given day...
