The official Rashard Lewis has never stepped up thread.

Even in Seattle he never was a leader of any kind. He relied on Gary Payton or Ray Allen all of the time. Wow, he just had a great effort in Game 4 of the finals. LAME.image

He's the reason we're still alive. Without him, we don't beat the Celtics, don't win Game 6 at Philly and definitely don't beat the Cavs. He's hit big shots all season and all playoffs long. Yeah, he had one bad game, but he's definitely "stepped up" this season, and during the playoffs.

Magic-Sixers Game 6 (they talk about Rashard the whole first half of the highlight)

Not every player whether they are great or a superstar are team leaders, and it's not fair to blame Rashard Lewis for not stepping up against the Lakers. First of all....What was the Magic doing trying to trap Kobe at 75 ft??? Then when Fisher got the ball how many other players on the Magic went towards the basket with the Lakers waiting for a rebound??? Yes Lewis should have been in Fisher's face, but that was just one play. In overtime was it just Lewis who didn't score or helped the Lakers with their defensive stops?? It was the entire Magic on the floor that didn't make it happen.

Please don't blame one player for a team's loss.

I agree with Goot... Lewis was a big part of the Magic's success to make the Series.
