Edge Lettering Anomolies - Jefferson Presidential

I recently ordered a couple of $250 bags of Jefferson's from the US Mint and while going through them made an interesting observation.

Some of the coins appear to have the Satin Finish Edge Lettering style instead of the regular business strike edge lettering style.

In the photo's below, the Top coin is from a business strike bag.
The second coin is from the same bag and represents the typical edge lettering style.
The third coin is a Satin Finish coin pulled from a mint set.

The top and bottom coins have "flat" centers whereas the middle coin has a "V" center. The V center forms a valley in the letter but the flat center is, well, just flat.

Now, either a Satin Finish Lettering style was used OR satin finish coins were thrown into the business strike bins.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The name is LEE!

Yeah there have been numerous threads pointing out that the edge lettering seems to vary on various presidential coins.

The shape/style of the raised letters on the lettering wheel seems to vary from a profile V shape to a U shape if you can imagine a magnified cross section of a part of a raised letter.

I don't know if any of our experts have had a chance to examine a number of the edge letering devices to see if the raised lettering on the devices is different or whether it related to pressure applied to edge of coin when lettering is applied.

I would also guess the appearance might change as the raised edge lettering devices get worn.
