Said this to myself this evening when confronted with a card I really, really wanted in an auction with a maybe-too-high starting bid, no bids yet, and 2 minutes to go.
Actually, I didn't. There was only one other person I know of in the eBay universe who would pay that much for this particular card... AND I've been blowing too much dough on cards lately, so I decided to chance it and let it go, hoping no bids would come and that the seller would relist with a lower price.
And, woohoo!, no bids. Here's hoping he relists.
And really I was just curious if the "Sandlot" quote in the thread title has slipped into anyone else's ongoing interior monologue.
Edited to add: Yeah, OK, this is a stupid thread. I've had a few.
Bryon - I just watched The Sandlot on Saturday. I laughed hard as always when Squints laid a wet one on Wendy Peffercorn. "I've been plannin' it for years"

Not sure the eBay auction was a test of manhood, but that's damn good advice to follow. Lee rocks... or at least sways.
