Help Help Shoelessjo's Up to Something!!!!!!

Good Day,
There have been many threads over the last couple of years about Shoelessjo Selling on E-bay and his low life tactics. I need help to know how to react with this most recent incident.

Anyway's I have a personal list I call "Never Buy From Ever Ever Again"....He made this list about 2-3 years because of something he ripped me off on, don't even remember what it was now. But I never thought of him as a Buyer so Stupid me never added him to my BBL.

Last Weds he goes shopping out of the blue in my Store, spends $100.00. I invoice and he sends me several E-mails about how he can't let his wife find out he bought this stuff so he can't pay with Paypal, can he send cash?
I politely answer, please send MO or check (The whole time cringing cause I am starting to smell a rat). So he sends an Email this weekend while I am gone that he sent cash on Sat.
Ok, I figure whatever.....And then today I get an E-mail "Did you get my payment ???Huh Huh??"

So, as a Seller/Dealer he knows I haven't recieved payment in one business day!!! Get Real !!!

I have been recently attacked by 2 different Buyers who left multiple negatives even after I immeaditly refunded their money (With no questions asked) and didn't even get the cards back.

So what is he up to??? Is he associated with one of these clowns and is setting me up for Negs? What can I do pre-emtively, before he does this? Now ? Can I somehow cancel the sales without getting neg'd?
Or am I just being parinoid??

Help Please!!

Thanks
Neil

I would wait the required time and file a NPB. Nothing you can do for now to avoid a neg if you don't get the cash. If he doesn't pa with Paypal you can have the neg removed if you whine enough.

A quick answer, would be that you would have some power on ebay with his "lack of proof of payment". If he has no Paypal transaction, no MO receipt, no cashed checked you can do the NPB thing to him. It may take a couple weeks to finalize itself, but you should be OK in the long run. You may be even be able to ding him. If he has pulled the carp before he may already have a couple NPB strikes against him. Another from you may put him in some jeopardy.

Buyers have sellers by the nads when it comes to feedback. If I knew it was him buying and knowing what kinds of tactics he uses, I would be inclined to protect myself by telling him PAYPAL ONLY. I think if he neg'd you for that, you could get the feedback removed...but you would have to prove that is WHY he is negging you which would be very difficult to do.

I would contact ebay customer service and let them know what this clown is doing. I dont know if there is anything they can do to protect you in this situation or not.

I HIGHLY doubt his wife, boyfriend, or whoever is going to put up a stink about 100 bucks worth of cards when that is your business and source of income.

Good thoughts Gameused...he will need proof of payment. Im just not sure on ebays policies to remove negs in that situation.

I'm sure it is retaliation Neil. He obvioulsy subs to PSA, so I'm sure he reads the boards.

I bet he saw the thread you started about him a while back and this is how he gonna pay you back.

Wouldn't it be cheaper for me to tell you what I want and you end the auctions?

Neil, I had a similiar situation where someone was obviously trying to scam me. I contacted EBay about the ins and outs to try and protect myself. If he doesn't pay, you can file NPB's on him. If he doesn't reply to those and tries to neg you, Ebay's system will not allow him to leave feedback. The problem is, if he pays, he can then leave negs.

one other thing I was told, even if you file FVF credits when he doesn't pay and he then pays afterwards, he is allowed to leave negs.

    Good day,
I know he is up to something...I just can't 100% figure it out, why wait 2-3 years and spend 100 bucks just to ding somebody. Could be he knows one of the other two A$$wipes who messed with me the last month??? And he continues their bidding???

Oh and before anybody says anything he has been added!!!

Neil, if I recall correctly, your problem with him was over a PSA 10 that you won for 99 cents, and then when you started a thread, rbdjr1 chimed in and said the same thing happened to him with the same seller. I cant remember what card it was though.

Or I could be totally wrong. image

    Nick,
Actually you are close, but it was Robert who had the PSA 10 .99 cent thing that he later put up in his store after telling Robert it was lost or some such. And then I chimed in that he was on my Never Buy from list for some transgression, but I couldn't remember what?

My college roommate started selling some handmade jewelry on eBay. One guy asked if he could send a MO instead of paypal. She said that even though it was against her own policy, she would go ahead and accept the MO (she was excited to sell some of her handmade stuff!) A few days later she gets the envelope from him and there is a 20.00 bill in it (auction was a buy it now of 19.99 and free shipping). She sends the necklace out. A few days later he messages her and claims that when he took the necklace apart and performed an acid fast test on the gold that it was not real. He used feedback as leverage and demanded that she send him his money back (even without the necklace being returned). She called eBay and they said that....

she was in the wrong for accepting a MO as it is against policy for sellers to accept anything other than paypal.

On topic with shoeless...I bought some graded '79 hockey cards from his site back in '04 and paid through the roof for them...that was my fault... but only sending 3/4 the order and not refunding me for what was missing was his.

Maybe he sees you as competition, and thinks since you got neg's from the other buyers, if he adds to it that you will be suspended from selling.

    Speaking of shoelessjo..

I get an email. It says I have a message but to view it on flickr and I need to sign up. I do, using BS info and notice the 'pic' I was sent was some spam and the email was from shoelessjo.

I have never bought from him and have recently emailed a few sellers selling counterfeits on ebay (none were him though, unless he has a alt acct.). Unsure if it's even the same. Just thought I'd share because I lik too tipe.

As far as I know a seller can accept a money order or check, but the buyer has to mention it first.

I always block anyone who is horrible to deal with. My blocked list is over 100 people easy.

I blocked this guy a long time ago. I delt with him once, that was enough.
