How do you do a SASE when sending cards to the United Kingdom to be autographed??

I've got a question for TTM collectors or those with postal knowledge. I've got some cards that I want to send to personalities in the United Kingdom. How do I do a SASE for that? They don't "honor" US postage, correct??

You can send a USPS International Money Order (the pink one) to cover postage.

Mike - you used to be able to buy "International Reply Coupons" which the sender could exchange at the post office for regular postage...but that is kind of putting on the signer to be willing to do that.

In the days of the Internet, it should be relatively easy to find someone in the target country to get you the necessary postage. Some postal services, like Canada, you can buy the stamps directly.

One source I used to use for international stamps was a local stamp collectors shop. You'd pay a slight premium but any large store should have unused stamps that would still work for return postage.

Mike - you can add a $1 or $2 in the envelope and he can get the proper stamps in the UK to send it back to you.
Unlike here where a British pound is hard to cash (unless you have an international bank nearby) US $ are a lot
easier elsewhere in the world. Just a thought, Good Luck!

Maybe there is somewhere to purchase UK stamps? I never really thought about that. I do have a friend in UK and if I was doing that, Im sure she would send me postage to make for SASE.

If you have a friend in UK, maybe you can get them to purchase Royal Mail postage and send them to you.

Yes, just add a couple few dollars. I usually put $3, to cover the US to Pounds currency fees.

I've done this a few times with great results.

If you go to StarTiger there are tons of British autograph collectors on there that are always begging for Americans to trade US stamps with them. I'm sure you could get someone to work with you there. I've gotten British, French, Australian, and Canadian stamps by doing that. The International Reply Coupon is fine too, but can get a bit pricey.
