Bump Review question

I was thinking of sending in some cards for review to tray and get a bump up a half grade. Do they actually re-holder them with the new flip with the number below the condition even if they don't get the bump? That is, my current PSA 8 of xyz card has the 8 next to the NM-MT letters. When I get reviewed do they re-holder it with the 8 below if they don't give it a bump? I realize if it gets the bump it would have a new flip of course.

I have a few 9's I was going to send in for review. I have heard that there is no 9.5 grade available. Without cracking and re-subbing there is no little chance on a 9 being reviwed and coming back a 10, right?

I would imagine that you would have a very unlikely chance to bump to a 10 without cracking, but I imagine it has happened. May be worth the $$ to try if the card is worthy and the 10 is that much more valuable than the 9. Once you crack it the 9 is gone, and you risk an 8 or 8.5. No risk except for the review fee if uncracked.

    Hi guys,

I was told at one point that sometimes they need to take card out of holder to determine if it gets a bump or not. In that case, you would get the new flip. That is why I haven't sent some of mine in. Can anyone confirm if this is still the case??

I sold a 1983 Topps Tony Gwynn PSA 9 on the bay to a buyer. A few weeks later, the card was bumped to a 10. I found this while looking back at my previous subs. I clicked on the Gwynn for some reason and now it's a 10. So I'm guessing he sent it in for review and got what I should have received in the first place.
