Anyone have any interest in billiard/pool autographs?

I know and play golf regularly with the best players in the world. Most of you don't know them but I guarantee you've seen them on ESPN a lot. Johnny Archer, Corey Deuel, Gabe Owen, Stevie Moore, Shannon Daulton, Earl Strickland, etc.... If you don't know them do a quick google search.

If anyone would be interested in some autographs then I'll get some. By the way, Johnny and Corey both carry 4 handicaps but neither can beat me. image

  • I'd be interested. I'm a huge pool fan/player and would very much enjoy whatever you could come up with.

Did you ever know Mike Coltrain when you lived in Raleigh? He was one of the best for a while and developed 'Focal Task Tremors', where his arm shakes badly when he's down ready to shoot. Oddly enough, he doesn't shake on the golf course. One of his backers spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to the best doctors in the country trying to find a cure or something to make him better. Sadly, there is nothing they can do.

I've only met Jeanette once. Monica Webb drove me around drunk one night though, lol.

yes...Train and I have hung out.....he has been to my place before.....A very nice guy.......sad about his medical condition. Even with the shakes, he still beats ALMOST everyone. Unfortunately, he has trouble with top notch players, and that means he will probably never be a successful money pro again.

I have a book with some signatures, and I have always wanted to add people to it, but with me not being anywhere near the game it is almost impossible to get it filled.

I use to live with Stevie Moore. If you are from the Carolina's then you know him. In the past two years Stevie has been playing all the pro events and doing really well. He basically played under the radar for 10 years and made a living hustling on the road. Now he's a top 10 U.S. player.

I also owned a pool room a few years back and have staked several well known players. It's an entire different world, the pool scene. Where in other sports the players make millions and millions, the top pool players barely keep their heads above water.

Yes...I know Steve Moore! I bought him one time in a Caluctta....he came in 2nd. One of the rare times I actually left the poolhall with more money than I went with! He is probably one of the best bar table players in the US.

He won the '96 World Bar Table Championship when he was around 20-21 years old and got on ESPN. He then basically went undercover for about 10 years because he found out that he could make more on the road than in playing pro tourneys. lol. Small world isn't it?

Yes it is.......sounds like some of the other players I know who never played pro...Sparky...Tony Watson.....It seems like years ago from when I was in the pool scene.....ironic how when I was in the scene, money was always a problem (not having any of it).....now that I have left, all of the sudden, money is NOT a problem anymore.....maybe I can handle it better now that I am older as well....who knows...

Tony Watson could have been the best player in the world if he would have stayed off the drugs. I've seen him play as good or better than anyone. I'm guessing you knew Red Willis as well, one of the greatest shooters and characters ever. Also, do you happen to know Brian White? He is one of my best friends. I was just with him and Scott Rabon in Atlanta a couple of weekends ago. They are gambling it up big time at a pool room down there right now.

I'll let everyone know when the next time I'll be seeing some of them or playing golf with them. It's usually when a big tournament rolls around in this area. If I'm not mistaken there is a big one in July at Johnny Archer and Kim Davenport's pool room in Marietta, so I might have the opportunity then.

I've got Willie Mosconi's sig - if you know pool history, you'll know who he is.
