If I could go back to 1995

I love looking at the ads in old Tuff Stuffs, SCD's, and Baseball Cards magazines. I find this ad by Prince of Cards with the following wax/cellos.
Baseball
1958 Topps 1 cent wax - $200
1959 Topps Cello pack - $150
1960 Tops Cello pack - $125
1967 Topps Wax pack - $275
Football
1964 Philadelphia cello pack - $75
1965 Philadelphia wax pack - $75
1966 Philadelphia wax pack - $90
Or you could always get your prop money from the Bank of Zamuda autographed by Eddie Murphy for $100

Def alot of good reading. I love checking out the ads and seeing how much everything sold for back then.
Also seeing that Griffey charged $9.50 for an autograph at a show. The show prices for the players back than was extremely cheap compared to today
<< <i>I found a stack of old Tuff Stuffs and Beckett's, I put a group of them in each bathroom. They are great for reading old articles and prices. Nothing like seeing 87-90 100 count lots for sale. >>
Interestingly, most of those 100 count lots would do well in the bathrooms as well considering they are worth less than a roll of toilet paper.
If I could go back to 1992 I'd try to get my act together and become a full-time dealer.
I did buy some stuff that has appreciated well - like a 79T vending case, rack case and a 76 and 77T OPC BB wax box but some stuff crashed even tho cheap - I have an 82T and 85T vending case - 900$ for the 82 and 450$ for the 85T - not sure what either is worth - but the appreciation is probably not what one might think.
One of my best buys?
I paid 600$ for a PSA 8 32 US Caramel Mickey Cochrane and 500$ for a PSA 8 48B Sammy Baugh and traded 1/2 my table (30 bucks) for a PSA 9 75T mini #500 Ryan.
BTW - I wish I had picked up some wax 63F BB and 61-2 F BkB from the Prince back around the time you're referencing - the price was right - he was a big advertiser in SCD back in the early 90s.
I have enough "bad crap" in my closed to choke a horse!
I guess that's why I try not to think - it just seems to hurt my brain.

I wish I could find it, it was the most hilarious thing I have ever read in a card magazine. The basis was that the first letter to the editor, which was in each magazine, was written by a 12 year old it sounded like and he called the people at Tuff Stuff "doofuses" for not raising the value of his cards. In the next 6 or 7 letters, the editors at Tuff Stuff used the word doofus about 25 times in answering the other letters. Believe me its funnier if you actually read it for the first time.
<< <i>If memory serves me right, the prince used to have some great private signings. Chevy Chase, Pam Anderson, Muhammad Ali, etc.

He also used to sell a lot of bogus stuff.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
Coming to America was a very underrated movie in my opinion. A ton of great scenes and great actors in that flick. "They are McDonalds, we are McDougles... they have the Big Mack we have the Big Mick...." Then he pulled out the McDonald's operator's manual. Funny stuff.
thanks!
Topps White Out (silver) letters Alex Gordon
80 Topps Greg Pryor “No Name"
90 ProSet Dexter Manley error
90 Topps Jeff King Yellow back
1958 Topps Pancho Herrera (no“a”)
81 Topps Art Howe (black smear above hat)
91 D A. Hawkins BC-12 “Pitcher”
Baseball Cards Magazine (my favorite back in the '80s!)
Baseball Hobby Card Report (remember this magazine/catalog from Renata Galasso?)
Tuff Stuff (big sized issues)
When did Tuff Stuff switch from the giant format to regular magazine size?
Anybody got any of the above they wanna give away?
