How often do you look...

How often do you guys look at your slabbed cards? I know it's an odd question, but I think at least a few times a week I go to the room where I keep my graded cards, pull out a few and spend a few minutes admiring them.

I can't be the only one...right? heh

I can see why, Those are great cards and a great room.
  • I've posted F&B scans of all the card in my PSA Registry sets. I look at them on the PSA site very often. Plus it makes the backs much easier to read.

  • I look at mine at least twice a week. if I have had a rough week at work I'll go in there with a beer and zone out for a bit. My wife will say "Are you playing with your cards again?"
What good is having them if you don't look at them?

I think everyones goal should be to acquire enough cards so that by the time you finish looking at all of them, you cant remember what you own, so looking at them again will be surprising all over again
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • I keep mine in a safe, locked up and secure. But usually I break them all out a couple times a month and just take time enjoying each one. Reading the stats and trivia on the backs is one of my favorite things. I really like some of my basic Topps sets that are near complete because then you can flip thru all the backs and watch a players stats grow as the years go by. It's great to bring you back to the time when they were actually happening! Still, I have most of the cards scanned and uploaded to the registry so I can hop on and take a look when I feel the need. I have a lot of new stuff that needs scanning. Oh well, I guess that is a good thing!

I treat mine like the Ark of the Covenant. I look at them once a year to make sure they are doing ok. Any more than that and my face would melt off.

My slabs are almost completely worn out.
  • I look at them at least once a month. I always stack the cards on top that were graded before the .5 system and think I'm going to send them in for a possible bump, but haven't got around to doing that yet. So I just look at them and only dream that they're better than they actually are.

Working on '89 Topps autoed set now complete

  • I used to pull mine out alot and shake them. Until I learned the graded cases are not a mold made to help make the corners sharp again.

But seriously, about once every 2 weeks or when there's need. I have most of them in my bucket, so that's where I see them. It's easiest for me. Since I'm always around a computer and hardly home.
