Quoting the CU price guide no less. image

Isn't that the kiss of death, the ultimate taboo, the mark of a slimeball, etc. when selling non-PCGS coins? imageimage

Well now, if NTC says it's an MS68, then it's an MS68. Seriously though, I once pulled an MS65RB 1913 cent out of an NTC holder, and PCGS holdered it the same!

Every once in a while NTC hits a grade. I have a 1935-S Washington in an NTC holder as MS-63. I am pretty positive that PCGS would grade it the same. It actually looks pretty darn good.

AS FOR THE PIC IN THE LINK YOU POSTED IT IS A POOR PIC AND CAN NOT EVEN MAKE A GOOD GUESS AS TO THE GRADE.

Seriously, I'm in no way endorsing NTC, but you have to evaluate coins on their merits. As far as the steelie goes, the picture looks like a 64, and no way I'd EVER pay 66+ money for an NTC holdered 68, regardless of the picture.

    MOC,

I'm assuming that the previous poster(s) assumed that given the apparent (unique?) "NTC green" surrounding the coin that it must in fact be NTC certified.
