Pretty 1897 SGV Philippine Peso

Acquired this coin many moons ago from a collector in the Phils. His grandfather was a noted numismatist and I'm told this coin was part of his collection. It was resting in an old album with many other nice coins from the Philippines. Sent it off to Mark Goodman for a proper image. The SGV Peso is the last coin minted by the Spanish for the Philippines. Just one year later Admiral George Dewey would defeat the Spanish in the Battle of Manila Bay, thus starting the period of American rule until 1945, when the country finally gained its independence.
