Red Wings Fans= Need Your Help!

Dear Fellow Redwings Fan:

Despite our tough loss tonight to those pesky Penguins, there's still a bunch we can do to help our team! Here are 5 things we can need to overnight to Pgh:
1) Dark Shades (attn: Mike Babwiener)--to better hide his fear of Crosby, Malkin, et al.
2) Vagisil (attn: Zetterberg)--no explanation needed
3)"Just for Men" (attn: Nick Lidstrom)
4) Huggies Diapers--(attn: Osgood)
5) Bible & Highlighter--(attn: Hossa)--to find out what happens to Judas at the end of the story

I'm going to write an open letter to my fellow Wing fans-- you know who you are, Tom, Kirk, etc.-- and implore you not to respond to this thread. Thanks in advance.

I was giving Mintacular the benefit of the doubt on a lot of his posts, but to say he is a Redwings fan it deplorable. Wrong forum for this and give me a break Crosby has done nothing this series. It is one loss, big deal. One line teams do not win Stanley Cups!!

Cindy Crosby is soft and has done absolutely NOTHING in the last two finals. Malkin is by far a better player for the Pens.

The longer this series drags out, the heavier those old legs will feel for Detroit. Crosby may have had only a point but his presence on the ice opens up opportunities for others. Did you see that play where he split the two defense and almost had a connection to Guerin for a G? And Crosby will get his points very soon mark my words. Osgood is average at best during this point in his career. That's my objective take anyway image

well I'm not a Pens or Ducks fan but I hope you aren't a Wings fan because there is no softer team past or present than these current Swedish Elite League Red Wings.

The Wings are surpremely talented but just look at how the Ducks and their 1 scoring line beat the crap out of them and took them to game 7...and if the refs weren't constantly non-calling the Wings continuous illegal picks and interference and Draper's 20 year run of cheating on the dot they would have went down in the second round...not to mention the Holmstrom elbowing non-call that he put on Wisniewski to get an extra power play that won them game 2. The Ducks nearly (and should have) took the "deep" Wings out simply by size and physical play. And Malkin is not a "far better" player than Crosby...unlike Malkin, Crosby actually plays defense and has become not a good but a great man on man defender while Malkin shows up when he wants to and rarely plays D. He's this era's Jaromir Jagr. Dont' forget Malkin is 6'3 and Crosby is 5'11, that's a huge advantage and in essence they are equals in terms of offensive ability...Malkin is a bit better pure goal scorer and Crosby is a better playmaker and defenseman. D is a big part of the game in the playoffs and in the finals the past two years Crosby has gone up against last season's Selkie (best defensive forward) winner Datsyuk, and this year Zetterberg who should win it this year. They are two of the games best defensive centers. Malkin is on the second line except for PPs so he regularly doesn't face either of them...he's been up against fatass Johan Franzen who is Bengie Molina slow. Don't confuse activity with accomplishment...gotta look at the matchups too. I"m not a huge Crosby fan and I'm one of those people who can't stand the league shoving him down everyone's throat but you can't crack on him for ability or being soft, yeah he goes down easily at times, but so do the majority of the Red Wings and guys like Patrick Kane...what is fatass Johan Franzen?, 6'3 240 and he goes down quicker than Adam Dunn on a pop fly. 5'11 175 pound Crosby took fatass 250 pound Tomas Holmstrom down last night...not to mention Holmstrom getting punked by 5'10, 170 pound Kris Versteeg last round...gimme a break, if Crosby is soft than the Wings are baby cloth diapers wrapped in cotton balls. That tends to happen when half of your roster is from Sweden...and I love Nik Lidstrom and Rafalski and Helm, but jeez I'm glad I'm not a Wings fan because even with all the winning I couldn't stand to watch that team on a daily basis, and a decent portion of their hardcore fanbase doesn't either...Hockeytown no longer sells out and that's not just the result of the local economy...they long for the glory years of Yzerman (last era's Sidney Crosby) Kocur, McCarty, Probert, Konstantinov, etc...and I'm not talking about meatheads and fighting, I'm talking about hits and physical play and not having cheap shot artists like Nik Kronwall waiting for players to put their heads down and then hit them with an elbow or forearm off the puck and then skate to the refs or the bench as fast as possible so no one punches him because he can't do it face to face. That's not Detroit hockey.
