Gold Coins Land Man In Jail

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A man has been arrested in Scottsdale on suspicion he offered gold coins for sale on eBay but would not deliver the product, police said.

Kenneth Zwolinski, 50, was booked into jail on five five fraud-related and three theft-related charges, Scottsdale police said.

Zwolinski is accused of pocketing $55,000 from eight different out-of-state victims since July 2007, officers said.

Scottsdale police had attempted to find Zwolinski at a number of places throughout the Valley with no luck.

On Friday night, police conducted a surveillance operation at his home and found he was there. They took Zwolinski into custody without incident.

  • Would never try something like that. Getting arrested would be the least of my worries. With 8 victims, odds are pretty good one of them will come to your house looking to settle the score.

Not a face I recognise and I set up at all local shows. Glad to see a crook where he belongs.

I was wondering the same thing, my lone eBay negative came from a seller in AZ, and not long after I received it I was contacted by another member asking if I wanted to become party to a criminal complaint he was filing against the seller.

The guy is lucky to be American. In other parts of the world, he would be hung, shot, decapitated, or have his hands removed.

Here, he just becomes the laughing stock of society.

  • How long did ebay let this go on?
  • I am party to the criminal investigation. I will file a civil suit to attempt to get my funds back. I was told he (zwolinski)will go to prison since this is a felony. Charles Weppler/ his partner (480)-228 -3240, is claiming he's a victim. He lives in Scottsdale also. We will try to get him implicated/convicted as a conspirator, which is the case. He's probably got all the assets (85 years old). The blockhead, Zwolinski, looks too stupid to be able to pull all of this off on his own. I know the gold auctions went from at least Sept 08, most likely earlier, until March when many were burned. I know these guys got away with over 100G. I was told they were ripping people off selling hollowed out electronics etc.
