I had 2 5-foot stacks in the garage and pulled the trigger recently - off to the recycler they went. Anything major was retained, and there weren't too many of those.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose, Cardinal.
Being older than you, Lou, I have a longer story. I saved and saved. In the end, about 30 years worth of every coin auction cat---Coin World Mag---hunting mags. You name it---I kept it. Finally, when I retired, I realized that I would "NEVER" read the stuff----ever again. It took me hours and hours to tie them together. Then drag them down from the attic to the 8 foot bed pickup. In total, I recycled 2 complete truckloads of the paper.
I try now to not let the stuff accumulate more than 2 years now. It is no point in it as, even with time on my hands, I don't go back and reread anything. If I need anything, I can find it somewhere else. Bob [supertooth]
