Need help with a Paypal Calculation....

I am making an offline deal with a seller....we agreed upon a price for several cards of 536.45...he wants check and no not paypal. How much would I have to pay via credit card through paypal to get him his 536.45?? Anyone have a paypal calculation to figure this out?

  • Assuming he's in this group:

    Monthly sales Price per transaction
    $0.00 USD - $3,000.00 USD 2.9% + $0.30 USD

    You need to send $552.78

depends on sellers monthly sales, but assuming min, 2.9% $16 would be enough to cover

    i calculated that too....thanks guys!!!
  • Why doesn't he want paypal, and does paying him more for paypal solve the problem? He could just not want a paypal account because it takes him too much effort to set it up.

He wants a check to avoid the fees.

No, he wants a check so you have no recourse if there is a problem!
  • That's a possibility but since the OP is asking how much to pad the price...

There are too many factors to give an exact price. Location of buyer, location of seller, sales of seller, account type of seller being the main ones. There is likely a couple more.
