Just made a Top Pop Franklin Bugs!

I don't have the coin back yet but here's the pic of it before I submitted for variety attribution. If you check the cert. # it shows as a Bugs Bunny FS-401. It's a pop 2/0!

'56 Bugs are tough to make. Most of them have clashes that are too weak.

BTW, can someone check the pops for the '49 Bugs? FBL and non-FBL

My guess is it will show up soon as a pop 3/0, it usually takes a while for the pop reports to update.

The 49 FBL has a pop of one and it is MS64

The 49 non-FBL does not have any designated

You're probably right. I also sent two raw '49 Bugs in and that would explain why they're not showing up yet either. The only reason I knew the '56 got the designation is because my registry set is showing it as a Bugs Bunny FS-401 now.

That will be something to be one of the first to get the 49 designated. Lets us know when grades post on these.

The '56 Bugs is not nearly as strong as the '55 and it doesn't show up too well in the pic either. I've seen some '56s that were stronger than this one and I wasn't sure that this would get the designation but it did and I'm happy as hell!

I picked this coin off DLRC.

Here's a closeup of another '56 Bugs I have and you can see the teeth are more inside the mouth as opposed to a '55 where they're on the outside.

I sold a raw '56 recently which had the clash outside the mouth and a tad higher. We jokingly referred to it as the "Booger Variety".

It's not as bad as it looks. The extra large images really magnify them.

    Brett,

Congratulations! Nice coin. As you saw in my post, the 1960 did not get the Bugs designation from PCGS. I did get a 1956 Bugs graded MS63. When I get them back I will post side by side pics for the forum members to give their opinions on both. should be interesting.

    Again, well done!!

I made another top pop Bugs, a 1949 MS64FBL. Here's a pic before I submitted it in the NGC holder. I should have it back anyday now.
