Although my favorite dealer dislikes white coins (I recently asked him who bought the only Proof 68 DC Barber Dime at a recent auction and he said he didn't notice because it was a white coin) I like both toned and white coins. Here are one of each:

Next to my 1837 half which I don't have an image of, this would be my favorite white coin. It has wayyyy more flash than the image:

Most white coins are pretty much the same.

It has the most magnificent toning of any silver coin I have ever seen.
