PCGS and Crossgrading

Well I got the results from the proof Morgans I sent into PCGS for crossgrading, there were 6 from ANACS, 10 from NGC and 1 IGC (didn't expect that on to cross). out of the 17 coins 3 crossgraded. Personally, I think it's a load of crap. I had high expectations, at Long Beach the PCGS rep recommended that 7 of the NGC coins should be sent in because they would cross for sure. It just must be the money... Looks like the registery set goes over to NGC...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

If you want them graded correctly, break them out and send them in. Trying to cross has an element of dislike for the competition with it. Of the 7 the PCGS person said should cross, if you sent them in "raw", chances are you would get the grade. Not only does it cost more to cross, it is less effective.

Mad Marty: When the Shaft was put to me I got ahold of David Halls firm and they offered to review the coins that did not Cross Over at No Cost.
After thinking about it I figured the Coins were just fine in the NGC Holders and they work just fine in my NGC Set.
It is a option you might explore.

I also sent off an E-Mail yesterday, now I'm waiting to see if anybody from PCGS responds.
