Any Gehrig auto experts??

First off, I rarely deal with autographs, so excuse my ignorance. I recently picked this card up, and know what it sold for a few years back, but would appreciate any opinions on what the current "market" value of what this auto might be. Thanks in advance.

When I see autographed cards in that condition, it makes me wonder if the card was in that same condition at the time of the signing!
Talk about a "fly on the wall"!
No idea on value, but thanks for sharing!

mikeschmidt,
Maybe I should clarify. I do not know which major auction house sold it or for how much. I do know what a private collector bought it for from a dealer. That price struck me as a little high, but as I mentioned, I'm not very in-tune with auto prices, hence my original question.
Thanks
