Gallery of Biblical Coins and Artifacts

Over the past couple of years I have been adding a few coins and artifacts to my collection that are related in one way or another to the Bible. I have done this with no clear goal in mind, just adding a coin or two here and an artifact there as I cam across things I liked. During that time I have managed to build a modest little collection and had a lot of fun (and even learned a few things) in the process.

I have discovered over the years that I get as much pleasure from sharing and showing my collection as I do from the collection itself and to that end I like building webpages that show what I have.

Bear in mind I am not the most talented photographer and there are no great rarities or top condition items in my collection. I am also not a wizard with HTML, so there is nothing fancy about the site itself. However, this project has served me in two ways: first it has allowed me to own a few items that are a tangible like to a period that I am interested in and second it has allowed me to share was I have bought and what I have learned.

I hope that one or two of you will enjoy it.

    Nice work!image

I've got a few of those coins, myself. It's good for us to know a bit of the history around these coins and of the time period that they circulated.

I know that collecting this stuff and building that page has caused me to read a lot of things I would not have otherwise read.

One question: Why do you have an old ear under the 'Pottery' section?

Wow, a very impressive presentation. Need to learn how to do something similar for my papal odds and ends.

    Well worth bookmarking indeed!

Very interesting, and a great presentation. The corresponding Bible quotes are a nice touch, and must have been fun to research.
