Noob ? re: JFK 50c Mint rolls

Pardon the rather basic question, but does anyone know what year the US Mint began selling mint-wrapped rolls of the Kennedy halves?

As I don't frequent the board often, a PM would be appreciated if you can help.

Thx!

I don't know about the mint selling the Kennedy rolls directly to customers, but I have bank rolls of Kennedy Halves from 1964

2001 was the first year the US Mint affered Kenedy Rolls in special Mint rolling paper/packaging.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I think 2001 was the first year they stopped releasing Kennedy's for circulation too, although I've found Kennedy's all the way up through 2006 while going through rolls from the bank.
