Phils rip the Yanks
Mets beat the Red Sox and their best pitcher
Braves beat one of the best pitcher in baseball
Last week ESPN asked a dozen ball players what divison in baseball was the tougest. NL East got no votes...I think that might of pumped a few
guys up!

I think that was also proven last season when the Phillies made a meal out of that AL East team in the World Series.

I thought yesterdays game was somewhat an easy call. But the Yankees are a decent ballclub and even mercenaries don't like to be shown up, and they can get po'd and motivated, and get an adrenaline rush under the right set of circumstances to win a game. Actually, I'm glad the Phillies didn't open up and win by say 15 - 3 or something like that, then today's game would have likely been a sure loser for the Phillies.
So it's a tough call today and the Yankees might win, then the Phillies win on Sunday, or if the Phillies win today then the Yankees win on Sunday - all as in all sports predictions just a guess on my part, but I'm happy anytime with winning 2 outa 3 on the road.

I got news for you pal, the bottom teams in the divison don't play in the post season. We saw that the best of the NL East just smacked the crap
out of the best of the AL East!

That's relief pitchers for ya - many can be erratic from year to year. But I'll never boo him no matter what because I'll never forget 2008. That being said...if he can't get 'em out then he needs to be out of there. Frankly, today I didn't care for the pitch selection - that last fastball to Arod was an atrocious pitch to call...that was not the time to throw a fastball.
