What's with the Mint's "Direct-Ship" program?

Why does the Mint offer direct-ship on its website (in $250 or $500 increments), but only have the '09 SAC $ and selected prior-year Presidential $'s listed?
Aren't they supposed to have each Pres$ for '09 available to the program?
I figured I'd save myself some time & effort calling & driving around & just order/circulate a bunch, but don't see the new Tylers (nor any other '09's) listed on the webpage...........
Can anyone help here with more info/insight?
Thx!

Hey, the mint makes alot of profit from these coins. I think i heard once it was 80 cents on the dollar so they profit 200 dollars on a 250 dollar box, so they can offer the free shipping to customers. Plus most get a rebate on your credit card for cash. I think the only one that loses is the credit card company.
I'm surprised the boxes are not all mixed up rolls and you get what you get. Kinda like a mystery box. Now wouldnt that be fun. But the only fun is seeing what Mintmark is in the boxes.
In the case of the Pres $'s, I don't even collect full rolls. I just need 1 "P" to break up for our various folders , plus a half-dozen-ish to trade with a fellow Forum member P-for-D to fill those holes. Rest get spent.
So ordering even a $250 box is "overkill", but as long as I can spend/Coinstart for free plus get back $ from the credit card, why not?

<< <i>I've always wondered the same thing, but if more people order and dry up the stock of 2007's i bet the mint would bring more out. I've been doing my part. It looks like the Monroes and John Quincys are gone for good from the direct ship.
