Over 20 years ago, I walked into a coin store in Spain. They had a bunch of Seated Liberty dimes which were priced very low, and I bought them all. I've always wondered how they ended up in Spain.
Joe, you're in Nebraska. I can understand how you must feel you are in a foreign country collecting U.S. Coins.

The Nelson Ratings showed it was only popular in one household in Nebraska! >>

I pretty much cleaned out the one coin shop I found in Leon, Spain 25 years ago. IIRC, I made about 1500% profit on what I found.
Last year in San Sebastian, Spain, the owner kinda laughed at me, and said that even Spain had eBay
I have learned one way how to tell if the person you're talking to is too obsessed with coins for their own good...
You tell them about the cool trip to Rome you just got back from the other day and the first question out of their mouth is: "so did you find any good coins shops in town?" The Colosseum? The Vatican Museum? Tossing a coin into Trevi Fountain? The hot Italian belladonnas who look like Giada De Laurentiis? No. They could've asked you about three dozen other things pertaining to your recent trip but the first thing they had to ask was about coin shops. Talk about being one-dimensional.
