Five Minutes with Cal

Cal Ripken was in Seattle today 5/20 to receive The Moyer Foundation's Humanitarian Award. Jamie and his wife Karen have an amazing foundation that helps kids all over the country. Jamie pitched tonight so he couldn't make it but the press had 5 minutes with Cal before the event. We usually aren't allowed to get autographs but Cal was nice enough to sign a index card that I just "happened" to have in my bag. Hee, hee. As many of you know Cal is a first class guy and very cordial and patient with everyone. Thanks Cal. Take care. Doug

Cal's told me he is doing the National in Baltimore in 2010 in case you want to look ahead!

Tell me about it. They said each station had him for 5 minutes alone and I was the only photographer there w/o a reporter. Yikes! I'm glad I had some baseball knowledge to help myself out but I was a little tight on the first question. He's automatic with great responses thank goodness.
