NEWP: 1643 5th Bell 1/2 Taler

This one year mini series of talers have intrigued me for some time, so I finally talked myself into acquiring one. This 1/2 5th bell taler was a lot in the recent CICF auction. The piece is a 1/2 glockentaler, or 'Bell taler', which is a 1 year type coin struck in 1643 to commemorate the end of the Thirty Year War. The 1/2 and 1 taler pieces were struck by the German State of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel during the reign of August the Younger. To recognize the historical moment, the town's bells rang to celebrate the end of the war and rejoice those who had survived.
What I find particularly interesting is the varieties for the strike. A total of 6 varieties (1st bell through the 6th bell) were struck in the 1/2 taler denomination, and 7 varieties (1st bell through 7th bell) were struck in the 1 taler denomination.

Edited to note that the images are from the auction house, as I am wrestling my camera still for a good shot.
