The golfers were great signers at the Byron Nelson ProAm today

I took a day off from work to go to the Byron Nelson Pro-Am in Las Colinas today. I usually get comp tickets from vendors every year, but this is the first time I've actually gone on the course. Not the whole field was playing the pro-am. Only 52 pro's. My main target was intended to be Mickelson as I had a rookie card and a 2004 Masters Flag that I wanted signed, but we found out 10 minutes prior to his scheduled tee time the news about his wife and that he would not be playing. I was disappointed but definitely understanding. I hope everything works out for his wife. Really sucks to be the people that paid to play with him in the pro-am though, $10,000 a spot, and they ended up with Tom Pernice instead!

The golfers were incredibly accomodating. I did not get turned down one time for an autograph. I feel that I easily could have gotten all 52 players that played today, but I only took a few cards with me. I had a great spot in between two holes where the players had to cross in front of me within about 3 ft, in order to get to the next hole. Next year I know to plan ahead and at least take cards for everyone. I was excited to get VJ Singh and Davis Love III signed rookies. They'll be going in my rookie card collection.

Here's what I ended up with- 10 autographs, two that I really wanted, a nice tan, a free $25 gift certificate to a local steakhouse, and a day off from work. Not a bad day!!

Big star power. Pretty sloppy signatures for Pavin and Couples. Were they rushed or is that how they usually sign?

Corey Pavin looks very much like his usual. Couples has two signatures. That's the usual one. You can also occasionally get him to sign his full name if you're the only one around.

WTG Mike ... sounds like a LOT more fun than writing letters and doing TTMs like SOME OF US do! LOL

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    Shawn,

Send me your address via PM and you can have the Couples. If you'd enjoy it then I'd like you to have it as it doesn't fit with my collection since it's not a rookie image

Is the Mark Calcavecchia for sale? He is from Nebraska...30 miles from my hometown. I would be interested. Thanks.
