Regrades or Reviews..

let me know what success if any that you have had with this. For example, "I sent in 20 cards and 4 were graded higher, one was a whole grade higher". Just trying to see what rate of success most people have or would have, if they sent cards in for review.image

I've batted .500 on reviews but I don't do it much and I am uber-choosy about what I send in.

I've only done it a few times, back when they first introduced the .5 grade thing.

I'm 4 for 13, with three 0.5 bumps and one full point bump. The card submitted were all 60s-70s era HoFer cards.

The cards that got bumped in the 2 submissions were:

1962 Topps Willie McCovey = PSA 8 to PSA 8.5
1963 Fleer Orlando Cepeda = PSA 8 to PSA 9
1971 Topps Willie McCovey = PSA 8 to PSA 8.5
1975 Topps George Brett = PSA 8 to PSA 8.5

Ironicly, they were the highest dollar cards out of the whole sub before the bumps.

Anyways, they included a little sticky note to explain why the unbumped cards didn't get the bump. For the most part, it seems that awesome corners get the bump, not awesome centering.

Has anyone tried the .5 grade bump at a show? I was thinking about trying to have some of my higher dollar cards bumped at the National, not sure if anyone can tell me about their experiences with trying to bump at a show. I know they had the .5 grading system in place last year at the National.
