USPS question

My submission has been sitting in the electronically notified shipper mode for 7 full days now. Anybody had this happen to them? Every other sub has always gone to acceptance on the usps website the day after I get the PSA shipped message.

I don't know if budget cut backs are to blame, but I currently have three delivery confirmations that haven't closed yet. Had maybe one or two over the many years of selling. Two still show these packages at my shipping point stage, and one is at an in between spot. I know one has been delivered, unsure about one, and fairly confident that the last one is received and the buyer knows the DC is showing it not received and is trying to get a free lunch.

Is this a post office issue or a PSA issue?

I would say a post office issue.

It's not necessarily the answer to your question but USPS doesn't want registered items scans to be available online. I'm told it's a security thing; that they don't want people knowing the path that registered mail takes. Sometimes we carry some valuable stuff and I guess they feel the more security the better.

I don't have intranet access right now, but in the past I've been able to check registered parcels at work that I couldn't check online.

Thanks guys. Ironically, I just received an email from the USPS indicating they attempted delivery on my package today.

So now I have a question. I mentioned I had a few packages in limbo. The DC's say they were accepted or had made it to the routing post office. However, they have not showed up as delivered. They each have had no activity in 10-15 days.

Am I still on the hook as far as paypal goes should they file an item not received claim?

I hope so and to answer your question, yes you are still on the hook if the guy files against you. I hope that doesn't happen.

    Yes.

If there was no scan activity after they made it to the delivering post office, you can call that post office and ask them to check on the package shelf, maybe they were attempted but not delivered. You want to ask for the station manager or postmaster, call between 10 and noon local time or between 2 and 4 local time.

By calling, you also alert the postmaster or station manager that there is a problem with that carrier missing scans. Sometimes it's an accident, sometimes it's a habit, sometimes it's even a scam.

But if there's no insurance, you lose even if you can prove it made it to the local office and the can't tell you what happened to it.

It may take a little time, but you can also go to the post office with you tracking # and see if they can't get DC for you. Good Luck.
