The Lottery

The Sacramento Kings can do nothing right anymore . . . the worst pick possible is the one they ended up with. I'm pretty sure our AAA baseball team will draw more fans than the Kings did.

That is all.

Now that KC has a new arena, you guys can return the team to them.

A shame they declined so much -- they were Sooooo close to beating the Lakers in the Western Conf Finals in 2000.

The Clippers got the first pick. I wonder how the person who is drafted is going to feel about having to always play in the shadow
of the Lakers?. Sure, the money will be good but on another level it has to be a letdown.

I think you're talking about Blake Griffin, right?

The Clippers are sure to screw the pooch on this draft pick like they do every year. If they draft a decent player, they will ruin him before his rookie contract expires.

It's definitely driving the nail further into the coffin here in Sac. I just don't see the King's staying. Next year I think they will be even worse and could see attendance dip below 10,000 a game. They will lose more sponsors too. Plus, it's clear the Maloofs are "hurting" financially. Not hurting like us mortals but hurting for them. Anyway, sad days in Sac because there is only one player who looks great in this draft. Yes, anything can happen but there is really nobody in the draft, after Griffin, that wows me. Could Ricky Rubio be great? Of course he could but right now he is an 18 year old kid who doesn't play defense and has a shaky shot.

Right, he was all smiles on TV last night but I doubt he is all that happy.

While I sincerely admire what the Maloofs have done the past few years, I wouldn't want to be them right about now...
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

The only good thing about this is for the Kings is that it pretty much guarantees that they'll have plenty of opportunities to get next year's 1st pick. And if they don't get the first pick, hopefully the draft class will be better than it is this year.

I think the Maloofs and Geoff Petrie have lost a lot of their mystique.
