Cmon Allen, you are a vet, you know that this set is HIGHLY collectable, does it even matter who is on it? The set is epic...all super bowl MVP's! If vets can't understand these cards, how are newbies supposed to learn?

Yeah actually it does matter who it is. Considering a Tom Brady, John Elway and an Emmitt Smith version didn't break $600, something is fishy about this auction.
Either something's fishy or just plain stupidity is involved
joe- I know that set is highly collected, but as other sighted $600 is pretty solid for the big boys, but you have to agree this is a lot for probably the most common of commons in the set. $500 for the Jackson would not be a surprise, but $1,350 with a day left is pretty shocking.
I think it is probably legit and just set collectors battling it out. I have seen many Bradys and others, but I think that is the first Dexter Jackson I have seen.
The D Jax didn't come from the same set as the other cards you all mentioned and is proably rarer than most of the 02's. This was put into packs of 03 topps and was VERY tough to pull, maybe only a handful. When I responded to your post yesterday this card wasn't at 1300. That is way to steep yes, but set builders don't care, especially if they know this card might not ever come up again.

The D Jax comes from the same set, it was just released in a different product. The Ring of Honor set is continuous and they release a card each year, same concept as the UD 500 HR Club Bats. As for the card not being at $1,300 when you responded on May 19, well maybe you should double check that.

I thought it was at 500 when I saw it, whatever. Most of the cards came from 02 topps, this was pulled in 03. Yeah sure same set, but with much different odds and print run. Since 03 only one of these were put into base brand packs of topps...VERY RARE.
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
I'm sorry, but that is just retarded to pay over $2,700 for a Dexter Jackson autograph. I bought my 2002 SP Signature Link Lyman, signed 1955 Len Ford and signed 1965 Philadelphia Henry Jordan (which are all very, very tough HOF auto'd cards) for $200 less than the buyer paid for the Dexter Jackson auto.
To each his own.
