I like Tony on PTI. I rarely watch MNF,so have no opinion there.

A middle aged man trying to act like a 17 year old is pathetic.
<< <i>I don't watch ESPN. I don't believe half the [expletive] people on the channel, personally – no disrespect. But if Bruce Gradkowski is throwing games in Toledo, how in the hell does he lead the NCAA in passing percentages? That is a crock. You know, these reports make me sick – really. I don't believe [there is] any truth to it, and I'll go to my grave believing that. I hope ESPN 3 or 4 has real sources behind this story, because it has nothing to do with the kid. He's a great kid. He wants to be great. This is very uncharacteristic, in my opinion, of 'professional' journalism. >>

<< <i>Gruden worked as a guest analyst earlier this year with the NFL Network during the NFL draft and scouting combine. >>
I've got to believe that MNF is a really good gig for a broadcaster. How the hell does "Chucky" get this job, and not someone with at least 1 year in the business?

<< <i>Kind of a stupid pick. Someone will offer Gruden a coaching job in the next 2-3 years so they'll have to find another replacement fairly quickly. Why not get a likeable retired coach like Dungy or Herm Edwards (sometimes bad coaches make good announcers for some reason). Brian Billick was actually really good in the booth last year and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a bigtime gig soon. >>
Agreed on the Billick statement. Very interesting character and provides great insight on the game when I've heard him speak on the radio, during games, etc. I don't think he wants to get back into coaching anytime soon, so he probably would have been a better pick than Gruden, but who knows.
<< <i>No opinion on Gruden but VERY happy to see Kornheiser out. I think his personality works great on PTI, but it nearly killed MNF for me. Regardless of who fills in, this is addition by subtraction to me. >>
I won't miss Kornheiser, but I can't see Gruden as a success. Time will tell.
I wouldn't be surprised if Chucky was there for only one season, some owner is going to dangle a ton of money in front of him
to get back into coaching.
