New shipping date at the mint

Anyone notice on the mints website that the new date of 7/13/09 for the shipping of the 2009 lincoln formative year cents. Yesterday it was 5/29/09.

    Are you sure I am on the mints website and it says 7/13/09. I am not talking about the email they sent us.

    Probably had a huge amount of orders.

    If you mean the ship date for new orders, yes it says 7-13-09.

    In my order tracking, it still shows:

    Order number: 31683***

    Order Date: 05/14/2009 at 12:45 AM (obviously was actually ordered 12:45PM)

    5 units backordered. Expected to ship on 05/29/2009.

    As of right now.

    Does not surprise me at all, I wonder if they increased the number of sets this time around, If so that would probably make the formative years set a winner in the long run due to low mintage

    Yes the confirmation email I got from the mint says 5/29/09 but for anyone that orders today its 7/13/09 according to their website. I wonder how long it will take to sell out. The last penny took two days, I think they minted more this time around.

    Actually I believe the sell out took about 2 weeks not 2 days, and also since millions of the pennies are already minted, they could theoretically sell as many sets as they want. It's only a matter of making enough special wraps for the rolls as that is the only thing that makes them different than a regular roll. Its pretty genious actually, draw people in with the first low mintage set, on the next set sell as many as you can at $9 for $1 worth of pennies, nice!

    Correct because I didn't order for more than a week and I got mine a couple of weeks ago.

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    I was fortunate (this, in truth, remains to be seen) to receive a ship date of 5/29, but that will change if history is any indication. It would not be a surprise to learn some of these will have shipped after the next release date (8/13)...
