What CU members do you know in your everyday life?

In another thread ThunderDan wrote "Don't really know you except from your posts." and after reading that sentence I realized that it would hold true for almost everyone here. That being said, I was wondering who here knows another member in their everyday life? Also, do you know them because of CU, or before CU?

I have had the pleasure of going to shows and enjoying meals with Roger (rogermnj) and Lee (CDsNuts) about 3 or 4 times now, and I met Jason (Morgoth) a few Nationals ago at Steve Hart's table while waiting to pick up our 1983 Michigan wax boxes.

Anyone else?

I met 80sJunkie a few months before his fall from grace on the boards a few years ago. I bought some 1988 Donruss rack cases out of the trunk of his car, in a Target parking lot in Fresno.

    I needed a rip-fix bad. image

But, I'm happy to report that I've been off the 88 Donruss for 2 years now, and doing well. image

I've actually met or know quite a few on here. There's probably even more that I've met that I don't know by username. Most recent CU members I've met are Publius (Joe), Margoth (Jason), Shagrotn (Andy) and Envoy98 (Josh). I've known Rogermnj (Roger) and jlzinck (Jon) for way too many years. I've broken bread with JoeOrlando (Joe) and shot the breeze with carolj (Carol). If any of you have met me, please step out from behind your CU ID's and let me know... image

Ironman that was extremely uncalled for and wasnt even at all funny. Way to smear a guy whom you know nothing about. Mike's a real good guy and someone I talk to about autographs a lot. Mike is extremely knowledgable and could probably run circles around many of the so called "authenticators". In fact, he agreed that the Clemente cut was no good. So what that I got taken for 50 bucks 25 years ago? It was a chance I took back then, I JUST pulled it out of my closet and looked for opinions. Sometimes I just dont get some of the issues that people have and throw onto others. Time to grow up.

Like Pumpsie said, I had the great pleasure of meeting him at a Giants game last season. I live and work close to Joe (Josephcb09) and have done quite a bit of talking & trading with him. Sometime this year I hope to make the trek up to the great Pacific Northwest and meet Jason (five7teen).
