Getting bids from users will little or no feedback

How does everyone feel about recieving a bid from someone will little or no feedback? I have a card up for auction that was bid on once by someone with 11 FB and now someone with 0 FB. Maybe I am over reacting but it makes me think something fishy is going on.

The money they have is just as good as a guy with 1000 feedbacks.

    I wouldn't worry.

Were any of the othe 11 card related items? City related? Player related? Everyone started at zero sometime. Unless it is a high value item and there is no track record, then I usually don't worry. Some of my zero bidders have become my most frequent bidders. If they like your product and delivery, they may just stick with someone they know instead of searching elsewhere. When were they registered? Recently?

    Yup.

New buyers tend to stick with their first reliable sellers.

Maybe I am over reacting, I just started a buyer account that is at 9FB but when I am selling its a differnt deal. The one with 0 feedback has made over 30 bids but has never won one. Which also makes me paranoid that people will think its shill.

The 9FB guy has purchased simular items to what I am selling.

If he has made over 30 bids but not all on your items why would anyone think that?

A couple months ago I bid on every 1952 Topps PSA 4 or better and threw in a $10 bid as a max. That was probably 100+ auctions. I won one card. But I figured I'd take a shot and see if I could steal one cheap. Don't fret about the bidding patterns. Some folks don't have deep pockets and need great deals to build a collection, and some people are new and bid early and then get sniped by experienced bidders, so they rarely win anything. The money all spends the same no matter where you get it.

Some buyers purposely bid on cards with zero or low feedback ids’s in the hope that it will scare some Nervous Nellies away. They’ll use another id to snipe the item or they might go ahead and win it with the low id and then dump the id when it gets too much feedback. It only affects the Nervous Nellies who’ll spend 30 minutes analyzing all the seller’s current and closed auction’s bids for suspicious patterns before deciding if the should place their losing bid. It won’t affect the snipers who just open up an item and place a snipe at what they’re willing to pay. The losing bidders or their feedback doesn’t matter to them.
