Do you collect variations?

I'm just wondering how many people collect variations of cards when collecting a set. If you do, do you collect just the ones recognized by the "experts"--Beckett, PSA, etc.? Or do you collect all variations that you're aware of?

Here's an example: I received a 1963 Fleer Larry Grantham with no stripe yesterday. PSA doesn't recognize it as a variation, so there's only one Larry Grantham listed in the 1963 Fleer registry. Do I keep both the striped and non-striped examples? (In the 1963 Fleer set, cards with numbers divisible by 4 were printed both with and without the bottom stripe on the back.)

I've been inconsistent: I've been keeping examples of the variations in the 1963 Topps football set, but not in the 1963 Fleer set. No good reason, I just started down different paths with the two sets.

What do y'all do?
