be careful selling UD redemptions right now with scans

Was just browsing around on Ebay and came across an 09 redemption (not posting a link although I think it's too late now) where you can read the code right through the scratch off stuff in the scan. Most sellers have blocked it out themselves but this guy didn't notice.

I did notify the seller but fear it's too late and that code has already been redeemed. If he goes along with the sale, he'll end up either with a neg or having to refund the seller.

Well, I warned this clown 2 days ago, he never changed it, never replied and 5 different people actually bid on it.

bet the seller and buyer both end up unhappy after this one

edit - removed link - just in case everyone that looked at it has some morals

This thread is worthless without links.

probably not a good idea to post a link until I know that I can't make it any worse for the buyer and seller

I did just find out who the buyer was on another board. If he replies that he was able to redeem it, I'll post the link

Also looked at past sales of same redemption and see 2 others where the code was quite visible in the scan. Wonder how those worked out image

I have never seen a redemption you could see through without scratching it. If that is the case I am going to get a job at a convenience store and scan the scratch off tickets all day long looking for winners.

here it is, been enough time now for the winner to find out he's not getting it. Either that or there are a hell of a lot of honest people on Ebay

I had notified both the buyer and seller and neither gave the courtesy of a thank you

wow that auction had 41 views when I noticed it.

Very surprising that no one stole that code

I had bought one earlier and had been afraid to show it after it redeemed cause someone would think I stole it LOL

just curious.. I don't get this.. so as long as you have the code you get the card???

don't you have to prove to someone how you got it?? like send the actual redemption thing in??

You just go online and enter the code in. There is no physical verification that you actually have the card with the code on it.
