those card auctions are by sportsbuy.com, formally naxcom.com ........................ not Steiner
edited to add: Steiners prices for Yankees memorabilia is def out of this world.............I'd wait for it to hit eBay as it is usually cheaper (game worn jerseys, bats, lineup cards...etc)

Yes, but given the hype that is on the way and the fact that the whole mess is being done under the NYY banner, it seems a better job would have been done.

If this is what the wait has been for, they should have used their in house marketing boy and gone with EBAY.
Folks Who Bite Get Bitten. Folks Who Don't Bite Get Eaten.
Understandable, but on the whole Yankees and MLB auctions, sportsbuy has had card auctions with bad pictures and high asking prices. Now with all the hype, im sure they will increase their sales.

Surely you can't be serious.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
I collected an entire cannister of dirt from Baltimore's Memorial Stadium near where 3rd base was, as Brooks Robinson was my childhood hero, before they began selling the seats, signs, and lockers from the stadium. No grass though - didn;t think of that one.
Looking to trade for, or purchase, raw or graded vintage for my baseball sets: 1927 York Caramel, 1951 Bowman, 1957 Topps, 1967-1979. http://richsbaseball.webs.com
Maybe if the sod was from the 1927 season, I would consider putting in my back yard. Not really. I was recently at Yankee stadium and remember seeing a Steiner/Yankee relationship banner. I can't remember exacting what it is, though.

The Yankees can keep all this stuff.

Looked at a few and love how great the detail is on some of the larger images.

Some of the scans cut the whole bottom of the cards off.
I expected them to do a first-class job; they didn't.
Nothing but a bunch of VERY HIGH-priced garbage, I think.
ALL of the mainstream media is pumping the sale, so I
guess the money will flow in.
