Favre is too much of a spotlight hog to ever go quietly in to that long, good night. He needs to go away, and realize that the NFL doesn't need him around anymore. He's spent the better part of the last decade holding the league hostage with his 'should I stay or should I go' routine.

Brett, we've enjoyed your play. You've been a warrior. Unbelievable numbers. But you need to go. It's time to walk away with some shred of dignity and say goodbye. Let the league move on. Be a man, admit the game has passed you by, and you will be happy with your retirement.
